Gospel music has been a part of my life since I sang my first solo at the age of forty.  God used our former
music minister Rick Johnson, to encourage me to sing in the BBC choir and then to sing a solo.
God created man to praise Him through playing musical instruments, singing and even dancing.  Gospel
music is exciting, uplifting and joyful, and is meant to be participated in.  I look out in the congregation every
Sunday and see so many folks not singing, smiling , or taking part in the service, and yet there are others that
sing and have a joyful smile on their faces.  Why the difference?  We also have folks that are at church for a
week or two, then gone for three or four weeks, then back week and then gone again.  Why?  I realize there are
times folks need to be gone, but I also think lack of commitment to God and church plays a role.
How committed are you?
God Bless you,
