From the Pastor’s Pen–
Three years ago, God moved
me and my family to Buffalo,
KY. On the first Wednesday
night of November, 2005, I led
my first prayer meeting. As we
enter this time of Thanksgiving,
I reflect on all that has
happened in the last three
years, and I find that God has
been so good!
Praise the Lord! God has
blessed us as a church. To date,
we have had 73 additions to our
church membership, 33 of
which were by baptism. The
Lord is teaching us how to love
one another, and He is adding
to the church. Our Sunday
School dept. is growing.
(Remember, when we get to 125,
Phyllis Duncan and I will sing a
duet!) Our morning worship
service is growing. Our end of
month Sunday Night singing
service for October was the
largest attendance yet. Our
Wednesday night services are
also growing. Where our
buildings were once silent on
Wednesday nights, there is now
the sound of children and youth
learning, laughing, and singing.
There is a sweet fellowship in
our church that can only come
by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Yes, God has definitely blessed
us as a church, so we must
remember to give Him all of the
praise and glory. Praise the
Lord!
Praise the Lord! God has
also blessed our families by
bringing the joy of new babies
into our fellowship. And He is
not done. There are more on the
way! What a marvelous and
wonderful God we serve, to
bless our church families with
these precious little ones. Of
course, not only is God blessing
mom and dad with children, He
also blesses us grandparents,
too! Sherry and I now have our
little blessing, Haylee. Praise
the Lord!
Praise the Lord! God is
blessing us as individuals. I see
God working in your lives and
growing each of you as you
become obedient to His Word
and His Will. God has lead us to
organize visitation and
outreach, and He is blessing
those who take part in this
ministry. God has lead us to
begin Discipleship Training
classes, and again, He is
blessing many individuals as
they desire to “Just A Closer
Walk With Thee.” Even in tough
economic times, God is still
blessing and providing for every
member of this fellowship. He is
with us always!
Praise The Lord! Praise the
Lord! God has blessed me
in so many ways: As a Son, a
Husband, a Father, as a
Grandfather, and as a Pastor. I
have mom, dad, sister and
brother in laws. I have the wife
that God intended for me. I have
a daughter and son in law, a son,
and a granddaughter, all gifts
from the creator of the universe.
I have the most loving and
caring congregation in the
world. I have the opportunity to
serve with the best staff in the
world. I have the honor and
privilege of serving with the 8
Deacons of this church, men
that I respect, trust, and love.
I have also been blessed to
have made some very good
friends in this special place
called Buffalo. Some I only knew
for a little while before I was
called to preach their funeral,
but the blessing does not end, for
I will meet them again at the last
trump, when the Lord Himself
comes to gather His bride! Praise
the Lord!
Praise the Lord, Praise the
Lord, let the earth hear His voice.
Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord,
let the people rejoice. Oh come to
the Father, thro’ Jesus the Son,
and give Him the glory, Great
Things He hath done!
